WELCOME TO THE FINAL ONLINE PORTION OF KSP 669

Hello:
I enjoyed our rich conversations last week.  Thank you for taking up the work of academic language so very seriously 
This week you will notice that you have three online discussions.  Two will be in your online discussion groups and the final one will be open to the whole class.  Please read the directions carefully as you complete each sections.

TASK 1 -- GROUP 1

Task 1:

Pre-Posting  Read all of the Freeman & Freeman, Chapter 4 (How Do People Learn and How Do They Acquire Language?)

Posting –  From all of the questions at the end of the chapter (pg 101), Key Points, identify 2 you would most want to explore/take up/discuss.   What theories or research supports resonates and could be used to bolster your teaching philosophy?  What is your own personal and professional rationale for choosing these questions?

TASK 3 (ALL/EVERYONE) FINAL SEMESTER REFLECTION ON CONTENT

Task 3:  Final semester content

Pre-Posting: In your preparation for this final post, review your readings, notes, discussion posts, or any other of the ways in which you personally review content materials.  In preparing for this posting, please also refresh your memory of Bloom’s Taxonomy, and really push yourself to focus your explanations under the Application, Analysis, Synthesis, and Evaluation categories.  I have included a Bloom’s Taxonomy Verb Sheet to help.
